An Early Jam Space

Beyond this door lies a room that smells like gasoline, and houses my young soul, for it is in this place from whence i came. Behold! MrCrippin.
I was just 18 when i started renting a space here. This door is one of those old school, sliding to the left on a wheel, on a thick metal band types. We were called The Smoke Eaters, and we played experimental rock tunes and dammit I cannot find our recording. I think it might be terrible, but that’s what I like about it.
It was a cool vibe, big rooms too, low ceilings, and pretty good separation. I met a lot of people there, and many of them I still know today. So many bands came through there. It was a good time for music, and creativity, and a good time to be a young single guy trying to make his mark.
Oddly, I feel like little has changed.
